How long does it take to tint car windows?

The industry standard for window tint installation is typically 2–4 hours per vehicle.

At Elite, our systematized tinting process allows most vehicles to be completed in 45–90 minutes without sacrificing quality. Our efficiency comes from experience, refined processes, and volume—not cutting corners.

How long does window tint last?

Professional window tint can last many years when installed correctly using premium film. We install high-quality carbon and ceramic films designed to resist bubbling, peeling, fading, and discoloration.

Elite backs every installation with a manufacturer lifetime warranty, a labor warranty, and a no-fault warranty for complete peace of mind.

When can I roll my windows down after tinting?

The standard recommendation is to wait 3–5 days before rolling your windows down to allow proper curing.

Elite also offers an optional same-day roll-down service, which allows you to roll your windows down immediately after installation. Ask your service advisor if this option is available for your vehicle.

Is it normal to see bubbles or haze after tinting?

Yes. Light haze or small water pockets are normal during the curing process and will disappear as the film dries. Full clarity typically develops over several days depending on weather conditions.

Is there supposed to be a gap at the top of the window?

Yes. A very small gap between the top of the glass and the film is industry standard and helps prevent peeling and long-term issues.

Elite goes above and beyond by offering shaved-edge installs on qualifying vehicles. This technique minimizes the visible gap and delivers a factory-finish appearance that most shops do not offer.

What is the difference between dyed, carbon, and ceramic window tint?

• Dyed tint: Entry-level appearance with minimal heat rejection

• Carbon tint: Improved heat rejection, fade-resistant, great overall value

• Ceramic tint: Top-tier performance with maximum heat rejection, UV protection, and excellent clarity

Ceramic tint is ideal for customers who want the highest level of comfort, protection, and longevity.

Does window tint reduce heat and block UV rays?

Yes. Premium ceramic and carbon films can block up to 99% of harmful UV rays and significantly reduce interior heat, helping protect your skin, upholstery, and electronics.

Will window tint interfere with GPS, cell service, or electronics?

No. Modern ceramic and carbon window films do not interfere with GPS, Bluetooth, radio, or cellular signals.

Is window tint legal?

Window tint laws vary by state and vehicle.

In Utah, current legal limits are:

 • Front driver and passenger doors: must allow 35% VLT

 • Rear windows: no VLT limit

 • Windshield: must allow 70% VLT

We clearly explain all legal limits before installation and have customers acknowledge their selected tint level. Final tint selection is always the vehicle owner’s decision.

What warranty do you offer on window tint?

Elite offers one of the most comprehensive warranties in the industry:

 • Manufacturer lifetime warranty on the film

 • Lifetime labor warranty on our installation

 • Elite No-Fault Warranty

Our No-Fault Warranty means no matter what happens to your tint, we will replace it—no questions asked.

What happens if my window tint gets damaged?

If your tint ever bubbles, peels, fades, or becomes damaged for any reason, Elite replaces it. We don’t argue, deflect, or point fingers, we fix it.

Why does Elite cost more than some tint shops?

Pricing reflects:

 • Film quality

 • Installer experience

 • Speed and consistency

 • Warranty coverage

 • Long-term durability

Lower-priced shops often cut corners, use inferior film, or fail to stand behind their work. Many of our customers come to Elite after needing to redo tint installed elsewhere.

Can you match another shop’s price?

We focus on value, not racing to the bottom.

If another reputable shop offers comparable film, warranty, and reputation, we’re happy to review it. Most quotes do not include the same level of quality or coverage.
